Products & Services

Carpenter’s Pole & Piling provides various treated wood products for the construction and pile driving industries, as well as the utility industry.  We use only quality Southern yellow pine and follow specifications outlined by the American Standard National Institute to class each pole or piling.  Our treating processes adhere to strict State and Federal safety and environmental regulations, and we constantly evaluate our procedures to ensure the highest standard of any treating facility.

CCA

Preserving wood products with CCA provides a long lasting product for construction of foundations and structures that are exposed to harsh elements.  Utility poles also must be treated to prevent rot and decay, as the replacement is costly and labor intensive. We pressure treat our materials to conform to industry standards set by the American Wood Preservers Association, retaining .60 to 2.5 CCA.  We can also apply either an ET or an ET Brown coating to further preserve utility poles. We recognize the need to provide treating services for our customers for specific products, including lumber and timbers.  Although we do not produce lumber, we have channels to purchase it in an assortment of sizes and grades, and will pressure treat lumber for our customers.

 CREOSOTE

Creosote is a common form of preservative for railroad timbers and foundation piling.  This process provides for a long lasting, decay resistant product for use in many construction projects.  Our poles and pilings are treated using the rueping process, so that the creosote remains in the pole or piling for a cleaner product.  Our experienced operators can treat using creosote to several retention levels.

 DELIVERY

Delivering our quality products to our customers timely and safely is our number one priority.  We have a number of methods to choose from.  We can deliver by trucking on trip trailers, flatbeds and Self-unloader trucks across the Southeast, or by rail, and we ship overseas to the world’s markets using the ports of Houston, TX, New Orleans, LA, Mobile, AL and Gulfport, MS. We have many contacts with contract trucking companies that deliver across the United States.
